Day 11 MS Roald amundsen

First full day! Woke early with a rolling boat but it was ok.
It was about 3am and I can feel the ship rolling and pitching, kept thinking if I can feel on deck 7, the waves must be pretty big.
I wanted to look but then I really didn’t .....

A lot of wandering around the ship still trying to find things and get bearings. Also a few “mandatories”  like muster stations, how to put on survival suit and life jacket, how to transfer to Inflatable boat( for Antarctic landings) as well as getting our jackets and loan boots.

First lecture this morning ( yes it really is a conference!! )Was talking about burnout, bullying etc in the health service workspace which made for some lively discussion.
Few more lectures scattered throughout the day but we also managed a bit of time to be tourists too.
We have spent most of the day going through the Beagle channel through the fjords.
Admiring the spectacular glaciers that some come all the way down to the water.

Some of which had to done from a hot tub and a small pool that we just had to use. Nothing quite like sitting in a pool admiring glaciers. Little chilly of transfer from tub to cabin tho.

This pool was salt water, and a bit cool! Thankfully not as cold as the sea.
